I have no desire to control you. You don't need to dress up, to come in to the office, to play your music softly or get rid of inappropriate cubicle decor. You grow that beard as long as you like, and pierce whatever you want.... stay home and work in the nude for all I care.

I'd much rather you were talented and experienced..... you provide it, I'll compensate for it.

What I need:

PHP programmers. Able to do independant scripts and work with the common CMS systems (WP, Zen) and some less common (Magento, Joomla, fCMSPro). You need to be able to hack the hell out of WP and Zen, and show me that you can.

I'm all about the ajax... menus, drop downs, rollovers, etc.

What I demand:

Availability. You're on skype, or yahoo or AIM or some online chat program. You respond to emails. You have a cell phone. That you keep on. And close by. And answer. When it rings.

Personal responsibility. I know what the client wants and can answer any questions you need so we can together set a scope. Once the scope is set, its your responsibility to bring it to fruition. Own it... deliver it on time, keep me informed....

Integrity. We build in time to test, but I know that despite that... bugs slip through. Sometimes weeks after the delivery of a site, bugs become apparent. I'm professionally obligated to fix them and you should feel the same. It sucks, but we do it.

Urgency. Rare is the client who comes to me with all the time in the world. We try to create realistic timelines, but things around here move fast.... you should feel the same urgency.
